The Charizard API

Every Charizard I know of (292 and counting), as JSON. English, Japanese, promos and oddities, with set, number, year, rarity, artist and card art. Build something fun with it. It’s read-only, it needs no key, and you can call it straight from the browser.

It has no prices and nothing about my own collection. It’s just the cards.

Endpoints

GET /api/v1/cards

Every Charizard, oldest first. Optional filters:

  • q: search name, variant, set and number
  • lang: EN or JP
  • era: an era id from /api/v1/eras (e.g. wotc)
  • set: exact set name (e.g. Base)
  • year: e.g. 1999
  • category: tcg, topps, sticker, uno, vending or other
  • limit (1–500, default 100) and offset for paging
curl "https://zardcollector.com/api/v1/cards?lang=JP&limit=5"

Rules

  • Up to 120 requests a minute per IP. Responses are cached for 5 minutes, so please cache them on your side too.
  • Errors come back as { "error": "…" } with a 404 or 429 status.
  • It’s a hobby project, so there are no uptime promises. Version 1 won’t change in ways that break things.
  • Card data is partly from TCGdex (MIT licence) and pokemontcg.io. Card art and names belong to Nintendo, Creatures and GAME FREAK. A link back to ZardCollector is nice but not required.
